Fixing a Bricked eVic-VTC Mini
While performing a firmware update (either an official one or a custom one) some users have experienced what is known as bricking their device. This basically leaves you with a completely broken eVic-VTC Mini that won't turn on, won't be detected by your computer, or anything else. If you have the unfortunate experience of this happening, follow the steps below to fix it.
Step by Step Instructions
- The first thing you need to do is remove the 18650 cell from the device
- Next, hold down the right (up adjustment) button on the device
- Insert one end of the USB data cable into the computer and, while still holding the right button down, insert the other end of the USB data cable into the device
- At this point you should be able to open the Joyetech Update software and flash the original firmware back onto your device
- Once it's finished, disconnect everything and try to turn the device back on - it should be functioning as expected again

Request a Custom Firmware
When requesting a custom firmware please try to be as descriptive as possible! The more detailed information you provide the better chance that other users will vote your request up and it will be filled!
Requests for the RX200 battery percentage meter, devices that aren't possible, and other unfillable requests will be deleted!
Please check that your idea has not already been requested! If it has, it will be deleted.
Too many people are not following these simple instructions when making requests. If it continues then the request board will be disabled and removed. We do NOT make the firmware on this site. Your request can only be filled by other users.
An email address is now required for all firmware requests in case there is a need to respond to your request.
